Brazilian Diploma Translation

Certified translation of Brazilian diplomas from Portuguese into English, covering the front, the back and all registration entries. Program and degree names are rendered with researched English equivalents. The diploma is delivered as a PDF containing the complete translation, the signed Affidavit of Translation and a copy of the original.

For an overview of the process, see our certified translation service. Requirements vary by institution, so confirm those of the institution that will receive your document.

Common Uses

A diploma certifies that you completed a program and earned a degree. Institutions abroad often require a certified English translation, together with the transcript, to evaluate your education.

If the institution also requires your transcript, see Brazilian school transcript translation.

  • Graduate program admissions
  • Academic credential evaluation
  • Professional licensing
  • Other requests that require proof of education

If the receiving institution requires a different type of translation, indicate this in your quote request and we will recommend the appropriate service. Sworn translation for use in Brazil.

Scope of the Translation

Both sides of the diploma are translated, including every annotation. Program details are kept as written; the translation is not an academic equivalency evaluation.

  • Program name and degree awarded, with researched English equivalents
  • Diploma registration and notes on the back
  • Hague Apostille, if the document has one
  • Seals, stamps and signatures identified in brackets where they appear, with the text of each stamp translated
  • Dates written with the month spelled out (March 23, 2026)

Each document is delivered as a PDF containing the complete translation, the signed Affidavit of Translation and a copy of the original, in that order.

Submission Guidelines

  • Send the front and the back, including registration entries and stamps.
  • Confirm whether the institution requires an apostille, and in what form, before you request the translation.
